I am trying to run Libreoffice . I install it using
sudo pacman -S libreoffice
This installs cachyos-v3/libreoffice-still
(so, the stuff is installed from Cachy official repos). The version is : 7.4.7-1.1
I start it from the terminal, calling libreoffice
. It complains about libboost 1.80 library missing.
error while loading shared libraries: libboost_filesystem.so.1.80.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
So I made the symlink from libboost_filesystem.so.1.81.0 to 1.80.0. Now, it will not start with error message:
/usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/liborcus-0.17.so.0: undefined symbol: _ZN5boost10filesystem4path9append_v3ERKS1_
I tried with :
SAL_DISABLE_OPENCL=1 soffice
libreoffice --safe-mode
Same error message.
I tried to install it from yay. There are two options :
extra/libreoffice-still 7.4.7-1
(same problem)
extra/libreoffice-fresh 7.5.3-1
Installing the 7.5.3.1 version starts, if i call libreoffice
But if i do libreoffice --writer
it will crash with “due to an error libreoffice crashed”.
If i call just libreoffice
, then it will start, the main view, and if i click anywhere, it will crash with : “terminate called after throwing an instance of ’com::sun::star::uno::runtimeexception”
What can I do to resolve it and start libreoffice? Thank you.
