ptr1337 Okay, I’ll explain in much more depth.
Yes, I am installing DaVinci Resolve Studio. I am not doing it from the repositories, I do from the DaVinci website itself I download the latest version of Studio DaVinci_Resolve_Studio_18.5b3_Linux and simply launch the following commands.
chmod +x DaVinci_Resolve_Studio_18.5b3_Linux.run
sudo ./DaVinci_Resolve_Studio_18.5b3_Linux -i
I add my Blackmagic key license, and that’s it.
Pre-installation steps
Before I can install DaVinci Resolve Studio, I must have everything I need to use DaVinci installed.
AMD Drivers (I use full AMD PC)
paru -S opencl-amd amf-amdgpu-pro amdgpu-pro-oglp lib32-amdgpu-pro-oglp vulkan-amdgpu-pro lib32-vulkan-amdgpu-pro
Dependencies
paru -S glu gtk2 gstreamer gstreamer-vaapi libpng12 lib32-libpng12 ocl-icd openssl-1.0 fuse2 opencl-driver qt5-base qt5-svg qt5-webkit qt5-webengine qt5-websockets libxcrypt-compat
Then I simply install DaVinci Resolve as normal..
The problem I have encountered is that I am unable to install openssl-1.0. And it seems that if you don’t install openssl-1.0, DaVinci Resolve is not able to start.
It’s weird, since the dependencies for other versions of DaVinci seem to be different, without openssl-1.0. In this case I am experimenting with Beta(3) version 18.5, but normally I work on stable version 18.1.4.
I hope this comment helps you to help me! 😆
Thank you!
