KDE "5" versions not found in v3 repo?

KDE seems to have changed the naming of all the qt5 version stuff to be suffixed with ‘5’
When I try to update, pacman asks me if I want to replace them with the v5 versions:
example:
Replace frameworkintegration with cachyos-extra-v3/frameworkintegration5? [Y/n] et al......
However, then I get errors that they weren’t found in the repo, (I think):
:: unable to satisfy dependency 'kconfigwidgets5' required by kwallet5 :: unable to satisfy dependency 'kwallet5' required by kio5 :: unable to satisfy dependency 'kcompletion5' required by ktextwidgets5 :: unable to satisfy dependency 'kcodecs5' required by kconfigwidgets5 :: unable to satisfy dependency 'kconfig5' required by kconfigwidgets5 :: unable to satisfy dependency 'kguiaddons5' required by kconfigwidgets5
I’m really not sure what to make of it.

I’ve purged my pacman cache,
pacman -Syyu,
re-installed the cachy repos as in your first post here on the forum.
I have cachy on my laptop which also has KDE and does not have this issue, and compared the pacman.conf and pacman.d folder and they seem to match.

All to no effect. This one has me stumped.

This is happening as it looks like archlinux is renaming the kde 5 packages in preparation for kde 6 (which is supposted to be released in February, but arch is testing it earlier).

I got this last week and again a couple days ago with some more kde packages. Always accepted the change and didn’t have any problems (still no problems today).

I suspect you could be getting this problem now for 2 possible reasons:

either cachyos is resyncing with the latest arch changes -> wait a little, it will fix itself.
or your mirror is out of date with the latest syncs -> wait a little it will fix itself (or you could try another mirror).

Edit: another option if you don’t want to wait is to just install the packages from the arch repos (they will then again update automatically to the cachyos versions when cachyos is back in sync) -> you can do this easily with octopi -> click to sort the packages colors and the updates in the arch repos will all be displayed together in red.

Is your mirror maybe outdated. Maybe even the arch one?
Try to run “sudo cachyos-rate-mirrors”

Yup, hit the nail on the head. It looks like all the US mirrors are down?
I was getting cloudflare 522 errors earlier.
Also, If I click on “CachyOS - Repo” at the top of this site, I get a message the server has not been set-up, like a new VPS was just rented but not set-up yet.

That happens when the docker container/server restarts…
It does autogenerate a index.html in this path and then I need to force remove it over syncthing. Quite annoying.

The US Mirror should be up and in sync again 🙂
