Generally it would be possible to install cachy-browser on other distros. But it would require to compile it on their own. Not sure if we can do a -bin packages which would be compatible with others, since archlinux is using more latest releases then others and then the browser wouldnt start probably.
uBlock does already do blocking, but it can be improved with some custom rules. Generally you wont see with the default configurations many advertisements.
BlendOS is using the apx package manager, which is a wrapper for distrobox (https://github.com/89luca89/distrobox). It basically creates a docker container, from where you run apps then from.
BlendOS basically just copied VanillaOS and made it immutable.
Performance wise is using distrobox really really bad, and thats not what we are focusing on. Our packages are compiled against our libs, which is the best way to provide a great performance.
Crystal does create a own Installer, and it seems like they trying to “replace” EndavourOS. But they need more time, till this is proper done. We will see it in the future. 🙂
We will write soon a extra wiki entry for battery savings. Generally I would suggest you to install and enable power-profiles-daemon or something smiliar to that. This changes your cpu gov from performance to powersave for example, depending if AC is plugged in or not.
